Transcript Templates

This page shows the appearance of all the transcript templates available for use (and how to use them) when making or editing the pages listed here, here, here or here.

Usage is simple: {{Character Name|These are the character’s lines.}}

There are four special cases (all occurring in the example transcript below):

• For characters who don't have a template and are unlikely to be recurring and/or not important enough to need one, or for unidentified characters, use the Generic template: {{Generic|Character name|These are the character’s lines.}}. This can also be used as a basis for new character templates and can be customized as shown below.

Note: Be sure to doublecheck if a character has a dedicated transcript template before using the generic one; since they are based on the characters color palate (eye color, skin color, hair color) even one-off characters may in fact have one.

• For narration boxes and footnotes, use the Narrator template: {{Narrator|These are the narrator’s lines.}}
• For describing the visuals, use the Narrative template: {{Narrative|These are the characters' actions (when not delivering lines) or in-universe text.}}
• For written sound effects and similar, use the Sound effect template: {{Sound effect|This is how the sound effect is written}}

The Directive template used below is most often used for when a character is off panel or thinking. The tags <big>, <small>, and <u> may be used to make the text bigger, smaller and underlined respectively. Italics and bolding are rendered through 2 or 3 apostrophes around the text respectively.
